Yin: Open to all students of every level. A slower-paced classes focusing on longer-held stretching postures allowing for opening through the shoulders, hips and spine.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, where you will repeat a series of poses that often involves increasing body heat and sweat, while building strength.
Re-Entry Yoga: This class is appropriate for anyone new to yoga or simply for those who have fallen out of their daily practice for some period of time and need a refresher to guide them thru movements and poses.
You will experience basic level poses (asana) to get you moving, breath awareness exercises (pranayama) to help you deepen your lung capacity and meditation to help you intentionally let go of stresses from your daily activities. You will learn how to use props to aid you in the practice and learn many ways to modify the poses.
Flow/Restore is open to students of all levels who want to explore the practice of slowing down the mind and body through through a series of deeply restful, supported postures. Poses are held for longer periods of time to encourage the body to release and open in a more passive way. Emphasis will set on body and breath awareness. This relaxing style is intended to be healing and nurturing.
Hatha yoga classes use the breath to create a link between the body and the mind. Hatha classes build flexibility and strength while minimizing the chance of injury. This well-rounded style balances and opens the body. You will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment.
